Hermance Hollow is a small, woman-owned business founded and collaborated by friends who share a deep passion for crafting, foraging, and growing the gifts of nature. Nestled on a picturesque 30-acre private property in Galway, New York, just south of the Adirondack State Park, Hermance Hollow is home to towering Hemlocks, Pines, Oaks, Elms, Poplars, Birch, and Applewood trees — a serene forest sanctuary rich with natural springs, ponds, creeks, and hollows.
For over seven years, we’ve ethically and lovingly hand-foraged our land, learning to create organic, natural products that promote a relaxed, healthy lifestyle. From wild-harvested mushrooms like Bear’s Tooth (Lion’s Mane) to soothing herbs such as Jewelweed, every ingredient is chosen with care and respect for the environment.
Since 2018, we’ve enjoyed handcrafting small-batch, seasonal creations in our home kitchen and sharing them with friends and family. In 2025 and beyond, we’re excited to offer these unique products to the public — always in limited quantities to ensure freshness, quality, and sustainability.
All purchased oils and beeswax are 100% organic, infused with home-grown or wild-harvested herbs, and blended with pure therapeutic-grade essential oils. Our wild mushrooms are harvested by hand from deep within our forest — far from roads or pollutants — ensuring purity in every product.

Our handcrafted lotions, whipped body butters, and beard & body oils are designed for sensitive, dry, or mature skin. We also offer cold-pressed soaps made using the traditional cold process method, preserving natural glycerin for gentle cleansing and deep hydration. Every batch is small and personal, ensuring attention to detail, purity, and effectiveness in every jar or bar.

We ethically harvest plants and mushrooms from our private sanctuary, far from roads or pollutants. Ingredients like Jewelweed, Calendula, Chamomile, Bear’s Tooth Lion’s Mane, and Ghost Pipe are carefully hand-foraged or homegrown, then infused, blended, or powdered to capture their natural benefits.

Bear’s Tooth (Bearded Tooth / Bear’s Head Tooth) – Hericium americanum
Closely related to Lion’s Mane (Hericium erinaceus), Bear’s Tooth Mushroom shares many of the same believed medicinal and cognitive-supporting properties. This stunning, coral-like mushroom was wild-foraged by hand from our private woodland sanctuary at Hermance Hollow, far from roads or pollutants.
While our dual-extracted 100 proof vodka tincture made from this harvest has sold out, we still have a limited supply of powdered and dehydrated Bear’s Tooth available from this special foraging find.
Ghost Pipe / Indian Pipe/ Monotropa uniflora
Ghost Pipe, also known as Indian Pipe, is a rare and fascinating non-photosynthetic perennial herb that grows in shaded, undisturbed forest soil. Each summer, we’re fortunate to find it flourishing naturally at Hermance Hollow, where the land remains untouched and sacred.
In Native American tradition, Ghost Pipe was revered as a spiritual bridge between the physical and spirit worlds, often used ceremonially for its calming and symbolic properties.
We carefully and respectfully forage small batches each July, ensuring sustainability and honoring the plant’s rarity. Our limited tincture supply is typically available each September, crafted with the same mindfulness and care that defines all Hermance Hollow creations.
